  Re: What a downer :-(

Yes, I was sad to see the catalog too. Very disappointing. However, there were some new 2003 "Technic-ish" sets spotted a while back online (several small sets of construction equipment). The set numbers were in the 8000's. It will be interesting to (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

Re: Are you paying attention, LEGO?

Hi, I think that TLC faces problems in several fronts with respect to their sales and marketing in the future. 1)AFOLs vs Target Audience-By targetting the 12 and under group and designing sets based on what these groups may want Lego in turn is (...) (...) I have no sympathy for anyone trading in Lego for profit except for TLC itself (and even then there is a reasonableness in pricing factor), especially if their ambition is primarily to make $$$ from old MISB sets (which excludes people who (...)   Re: the whole truth and nothing but the truth

Brad, First off, thank you very much for getting back to the community with an official response about these sets. I'm really looking forward to these sets and I think it is another good feather in the Lego Direct cap. I'm sure the Lugnet community (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I think re-releasing sets will drive me crazy for a different, but related, reason... I'm less worried about the value of the sets I own going down, but I think this will make it much harder for me, as a buyer, to figure out how much to pay for an (...) So I'm not the only one.... that's a bit of a relief. My two cents on the choice of five sets? I couldn't care less! Why are they all minifig sets again? Yes, I would agree...the legends and re-issues are all super. They are the ONLY new sets (other than a few Star Wars and Harry Potter sets) that I have purchased since '97. LEGO, are you listening? (...) I guess I'd ask the same question about a music CD. Typically when a good CD is released, the majority of sales are in the first few days and weeks.   Re: Bulk Ording Downside?
