Hi guys,
Would it be possible for someone to check into the 4400 tub situation and
let us know what the scoop is?
The tubs appeared briefly in Canada, possibly in connection to a anniversary
sale at Walmart, and not in any great quantity - as far as I can determine,
no store got more than a single pallet of tubs. They were priced at $15 CAD,
and disappeared fast.
Sometime last week (not certain exactly when), they became available to North
America via Shop at Home, both over the phone and online, for $9.99 USD.
Combined with the current free shipping offer, 7000+ elements for under $100
was irresistable to us AFOLs, and once word spread, the stock evaporated.
Shortly after that, people calling by phone were told that they could
backorder a maximum of 4, although there was no limit indicated online.
Shortly after that, the product was unorderable online, and then was pulled
from the website entirely.

And as a further note to the saga, they showed up at Superstore (a Canadian-only
mega-grocery chain) in their toy section for $15.98 over the weekend.
thanks,
James
