First of all, divide the company into it's respective divisions. Even though
we refer to Lego as one company, it's divisions aren't necessarily managed
as one company. Lego Direct is a distinct entity from the Lego Stores, etc.
(It wouldn't surprise me if Lego Direct in each country were separate
divisions with little reporting between them.) The advances that you
mention, I would say, are because of the efforts of Lego Direct. But they
can't do anything without the approval of the main Lego group in Denmark who
ultimately control everything that happens with Lego. While I applaud the
advances that have been made, I still wonder what is going through
management's collective mind.
