Jake,
Why are you answering people's questions on FBTB, but not LUGNET?
I ask because the lugnet.lego.direct group was created for open dialogue,
LD's posts are now rare and limited to marketing announcements.

I guess I'll third Tamy here...

This is an interesting situation, butnot one that seems
to be overly long and complex. In simplicity, I think
there's one soultion to this problem.

I think the Lugnet community overall has been
on a rather turbulant stance when it comes to company
relations, a lot of them stirred by over "inquisitiveness"
or what I like to say as too much attention towards
company presence.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but it's not that
great either. Think of if as speaking on a subject, and
then a million reporters come surrounding you, with an
overwhelmingly large amount of questions and requests.

Gets bothersome, doesn't it?

I think this is the overall issue here, as several stated
beforehand, and that a lax on restraints for those who
represent consumer affairs would be needed.

If the community would be able to take hold of
this, and give the poster a break, perhaps they would
possess greater incentive to post at Lugnet more often,
but until then, FBTB will remain their community
of representation.

Not that I disagree on Lugnet's overall stance or
anything, but some amends would be plausable to
mend company relations, which might help Lugnet
prosper in its future stages. (heck, we might get
spoilers earlier too!)

I'll second Tamy here. LUGNET has become downright beligerent in it's treatment of TLG Staffers. Restriction is unfair, and tantamount to segregation. "You work at LEGO, so you can only use these drinking fountains..." This isn't fair to TLG or the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)
