1.how would licecncing affect re-issues?
Would lego still be able to re-issue, say, the 377 shell gas station for
example, even though lego had to licence the rights from shell to use
the name?
What about for example, the origonal town 1682 space shuttle set, doesnt
that have a NASA logo on the torso?
2.Brad justus mentioned that the monorail motor is gone, with no
possibillity of replacement. Are ther any other parts that are gone for
good?
and 3.if you release a large set, mabie re-issuing a smaller set that
uses the same parts to go with it would be a possiblity. For example, if
you re-issue the 6398 central precinct HQ (great set, really shows what
town SHOULD be), you could also re-issue a smaller police set from that
era, like a police car (this is much like the metroliner/club car
thing). Such a set would make a GREAT impulse set...
