Maybe, as Frank Filz said elsewhere in this thread, it would be a good idea to
keep the chatter in the lugnet.lego.* groups down.

Would that really happen? if this was the only place for them to answer
questions, the mass amount of posts in this thread would be staggering.
Plus, if they do answer a question there would be some follow-up in the
direct thread - there would be massive posts -making it very hard to find
anything.

It's not a matter of personal vs official posts, really.  It's a matter of
where LEGO is invited to participate in Lugnet, and where they aren't.  They
aren't invited to participate in the main groups (at least, not anymore).

So should we have a "lego employees" water fountian next to the "non-lego
employees" water fountian? (ok i took that too far - but you see the point I
am making - right?)

It's great that LEGO wants to interface with the Lugnet community,

It sure does not appear that way!

but Lugnet is a community of fans, not a forum for LEGO to talk to fans.

Then why do we ask them questions? Why is there threads for us to ask them
questions? If this is not for them to talk to us, why do we try to talk to
them??

Yes, they should- but those questions should be asked in the lugnet.lego.*
hierarchy, not cluttering up the groups meant for fan discussion.  I just >don't see any down side to this.

And I do not see any upside to this, Do you really think they "clutter up"
any threads? Please provide an example of this, I can not find any examples
of this, perhaps you do since you say they clutter threads up.
