I got the 8458 Silver Champion a couple of days ago. In the instruction booklet, it shows a web browser (looks like Netscape on a Mac) open to www.legotechnic.com. OK, fine, go to (URL) .... Unable to locate server. <sigh> Here's a penny, buy a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I copied this to lugnet.market.theory Shouldnt forget that the UK prices include VAT, whereas their is no sales tax in the US prices. This is all pretty bad when one sees it in black and white - I think I was happier when I only had a sneaking suspicion that I was being ripped off! Well, whether you like it or not, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales are all subordinate to the sovereignty of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, sharing her laws, defense, and currency.
