whats up with the rollout of the Lego Stores?

Why is it that (acording to an official page at lego.com), Russia (of all places) is getting a Lego Store (in moscow) but countries with probobly a much greater market (e.g. Australia or Canada) arent? (20 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.general)

Re: Different mold on 1x6, 1x8

OH BOY Rosco you just NOW looked at the bottom? You know, Clark has been tracking this for AGES... The "new" brick looks to be just molded in an older mold, as they seems to vary from set to set for me, sometimes I get the ones with the holes in the (...)   Re: Different mold on 1x6, 1x8

(...) I did a little check on my 1xn bricks and saw this "problem" on all types and colours, from 1x2 to 1x8. In my opinion, there are two or more moulds, each with a little difference, and they change them every now and then. (For cleaning and (...)   Different mold on 1x6, 1x8

Has anyone else noticed this? It seems newer 1x6 & 1x8 bricks have a different mold. See this comparison: (URL) older brick on the left has holes in the bottom studs, but more importantly, the flanges on studs 2 & 4 don't go all the way to the (...)   Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

(...) Incorrect. On a scale of 1 to 10, four years ago Lego was a 10 and Mega Bloks was a 3. Today Lego is a 9 and Mega Bloks is a 7.5. So while Lego is still superior, Mega Bloks have in fact become a viable alternative in a quality versus quantity (...) (20 years ago, 24-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Article about Brad Justus

(...) The URL for LEGO's "My Opinions" section is (URL) so they're actually serving the My Opinions web pages for LEGO. I get the impression there's an administrative system set up for authorized LEGO employees to create surveys on the fly. This was (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

(...) While this may be true, the "loyal" customers left Coke only because there were alternatives that wern't as vile as New Coke. Pepsi did quite well after New Coke came out. Does this mean that we're all going to switch to Megablocks over the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)
