OK, I just voted with my wallet - so to speak. Echoing another, it is still a minor and temporary "fix" to this issue. I suspect that TLC is somewhat adrift and lost in its focus. Too bad. It may be old to you, but if everyone stops complaining, TLG might get the idea that the color change doesn't matter anymore, which is far from the case. TLG has been shown to be pretty clueless the last few years, so it might take a {very long (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

Basic bricks and plates will be easy to come by in the old colors for some time via various places -- the fact that we can't get any of the new non-basic parts is what the problem truly is.
