Re: Euro: one currency does not mean one price :-(

(...) I think it's probably decided on a per country basis, taking into account local taxes, shipping costs and pricing habits (.99 is much more common in Germany than France, for example). Jürgen (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.eu, lugnet.lego.direct)

Euro: one currency does not mean one price :-(

After the introduction of the new European currency three days ago, I was very curious about what would happen to S@H's prices in the euro-zone. What now follows are my findings (which are by no means scientific - it just illustrates how weird their (...) (...) Yes, but there are 2 teams in the set, and it does say that you can turn "YOUR SQUAD" into the US team, not that you can turn one team into the US team...so I still believe it reads as though there will be an Australian team in the set if I (...) (...) Sounds Good--excellent suggestion. My favorite minfig torso has always been the blue-collar worker guy with 2 breast pockets --> (URL) this minifig in Green, Red, Black, Dark Gray, etc. would result in me buying many, many minifig packs. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Delivery criticism!

I'm sorry I have to mention this thing here, but after several bad and unsuccessfull deliveries I have enough! As most of you might know I'm a fan of Lego and it's products. I also like what's available from the Lego Online Shop. There are many (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

There must be a better way to deal with lost orders...

Well, I have to grumble... I don't do it often, and frankly, I'm of the opinion that Lego Direct has been doing an excellent job overall. I haven't spent so much on Lego in all the years (32) I've been playing/collecting it as I have since (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Shop At Home catalog Engine Shed

(...) Bert, this is generally true of _ALL_ items listed in the Shop@Home Catalogs. The January catalog is historically brief and a lot of items are not pictured but they are still available. In the way of a shopping tip: When planning your next S@H (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: announcing the "My Own Creation" series

Re: Shop At Home catalog Engine Shed

I Agree. I would really like to see Conductor Charlie and Engineer Max minifigs. And how about some passenger minifigs with back packs and lugguage, and please don't forget some female minifigs - very important. While I'm at it, how about a historic (...) More thoughts on a train mini-figure pack - - I could see the track workers set being comprised of an engineer, a ticket checker and four construction worker types. - For more play value, include a hand car or other mini-maintenance vehicle that can (...) (...) Sorry, what's "FR or TR"??? If *I* don't know what it is, it may not have much draw to US train fans as none of them will know either.   Re: Shop At Home catalog Engine Shed

Jake, I really enjoyed the train yard shot in the latest Shop at Home catalog. For some reason, it reminded me of the photos on the cover and inside the 1980 European Lego Train catalog.
