Dear David,

I'm sorry that you found your visit to the Orlando LEGO Imagination Center
to be less than fabulous.  We realize that our Orlando store is starting • to
show some wear and you'll be happy to know that we have scheduled a • remodel
for this September!  The work has already begun in the outdoor play area
with model repairs and cleanings, as well as new tarps, paint, etc. • They'll
be some fun new additions to the store as well.

I was also disappointed to hear that certain elements were missing from • the
play area (wheels, themed pieces, etc.).  Although, pieces to tend to
disappear on a daily basis (wheels being the favorite) the store has • assured
me that they are now fully stocked with an array of elements to build • with.

I hope you will come back and see us soon.  The remodel of the store • should
be complete by mid-October - just in time for our 4 year anniversary!

Regards,

This is very good news, the outdoor models certainly are showing their
strain from the Florida sun.

Up until a few months ago I traveled to Orlando for work about once a month.
I usually tried to make a stop at the LIC to see what new or unusual things
were available.  I would have to agree with David on the condition of the
play area (in fact I made similar observations 18 months ago, see this
article http://news.lugnet.com/dear-lego/?n=2014).  In the 20+ visits I made
to the LIC there was always a significant shortage of wheels which always
surprised me.

Mike
