(...) is indeed useful (comparing LDD to other color palettes), I was talking about the specific "Competition Pallet" (of parts) - i.e. what you are allowed to use to make your contest entry. (...) I also had problems with lining up pieces. Here are some things that helped me: Adjust the mouse sensitivity in the LDD configuration program. This will help with the "floaty" feeling of the pieces. Wait a second before jiggling the piece (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) The competition has two age groups, under 13 and 13 and over (Junior and Senior). The finals will have 10 Grand Prize winners: 8 juniors and 2 seniors. While I think this is a good idea I have found the software fragile. I cannot save at all, it just shuts down the program. I find it very difficult to line up the 8x8 plates/roadplates next to each other. I am going to try reinstalling the software (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) If it's 5% of the "profit" then the designer might conceivably ending up owing money to LEGO... ;) Why wouldn't retail outlets carry them? Micro town sets? Yeah, a Mac or Linux version would be nice, but we will never see them. I don't have any inside info, but I would assume that TLC's programmers did the following things: * Deeply based the software on proprietary Microsoft-specific techonology that (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Hi Jake, hi Ray, (...) as a Linux user I also don't like this restriction. I don't mind much that the software doesn't run under Linux. But I do mind if this is used to exclude non-MS-Windows users from community activities. Please allow entries in (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)
