Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) wonder how red creeped in. But the parts types results completely baffle me. For every 2x2 concave steep slope and just about every item on the list, I use 100s of 2x4s. The list seems to reflect demand based on scarcity, not demand based on (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) I think some of the surprise in the list may be due to people's understanding of the purpose of the survey. Was it - pieces in addition to what S@H currently sell or - pieces you need I voted on the basis of already knowing what S@H sell and (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) Me too. I can get all the 1x2s and 2x4s I want for under 2 cents a piece (with judicious shopping for tubs) but nary a piece I selected made the list (train doors, train windows, train door rails, town windows, and architectural elements) So (...)   Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) This is probably because, out of 20 choices, one or more colors of 1x2 were selected but no one particular color was outstanding. I put in tan, new brown, new light gray, orange, and medium blue for most 1x2 and 1x4 - there are a lot of colors (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) I'm not sure I'd characterise 2 windows and one mullion out of 20 as "feature prominently", (on the "any color" list, the other one doesn't matter as much) but OK (...) I am not complaining. (...) You could pick up to 10 colors so I really (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) Train elements topped my list too, and it's too bad you couldn't weight your vote, because everything else I voted for would have been much lower on my list. Various train windows & doors, town windows & doors, slopes, and some plant elements (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) ya, except the weighting I'd prefer would be "put your customer number in, OK we found how much you spent at S@H last year... that's what each of your votes is worth" :-) And I'd be Ok with the fact that my votes weren't worth the most. (Hi (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) I have to agree with this one... the "put your money where your mouth is" theory. I know your purchases far outweigh mine... but I know I've put some serious chunck change into Shop@Home, myself. Ben M. (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) "100,000 2x4s", which train clubs would call "a good start" to building a layout... Yup. 2x4s in quantities (2500 bricks? 10,000 bricks?) would be awesome, and we'd buy 'em! Throw in the ability to buy 2x2 bricks, and we'd have 90% of the (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) I pressed Jake on what criteria we should make our choices: What we use most, most of the time or what we would like the most because we can't get them this week? I also pointed out that I don't want bricks from LEGO that I can buy for less on (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) IMHO, I feel that they do figure prominently. 3 window/window related items out of 20 is 15%. Compare this to the 20% that basic-bricks make up or the 10% that plates make up, I'd say that Windows made a fair showing. When examining the (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Having already built one 66 studs square, I can tell you it gets insanely expensive after a while to make it larger ;-) But yeah, I listed a clear tri-peak and clear corner slopes for just that reason, for finishing the Luxor (yeah, I'd have lots of (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)
