Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) I work in a local supercenter (i.e. a Wall Mart or Target with a grocery section). It's pretty simple, they tape it up, reduce the price substantially and chuck up on a shelf in a clearence section. Sometimes they may wait until there's (...)   When is Mac support coming for LEGO Mosaic?

I would like to purchase a LEGO Mosaic product using my iMac DV computer running Netscape Communicator on MacOS 9.0.4. However, when I get a few steps in, I come to a page (URL) a blunt message: "The LEGO Brick-o-Lizer is not available for use on (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

LEGO website bug report: Invalid forward apostrophe character

Dear LEGO Direct: Please view the following webpage on a Linux system and on a Mac running a non-Microsoft browser: (URL) that page, you will see is a passage of text which goes like this: We need LEGO parent’s help.   Re: LEGO website bug report: Invalid forward apostrophe character

(...) Well, that's embarrassing... I meant for there to be a four-item list there. On top of that, I said your page was using character #147, but the correct number is #146. In any case, here's some more background, and a table of the characters I (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.publish.html)

Re: LEGO website bug report: Invalid forward apostrophe character

Anyway, the spostrophe should come after the s: We need LEGO parents' help. not: We need LEGO parent's help. in order to refer to something belonging to parents in the plural. Jason J Railton. (26 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.publish.html)

Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

Unfortunately, that doesn't always apply to damaged sets at TRU (Australia, anyway). I found a already opened UCS X-wing on a shelf the other day and asked what they could do, and they said emphatically "Nothing, it goes back to Lego". Might depend (...)   Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Here where I live most (but not all) l TRU returns or damaged boxes are routed through the local Goodwill.   Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Where do you live? I'd never thought of looking to Goodwill for cheap parts - good idea. The Stars Wars UCS series may be the worst packaging of any retail set Lego has ever sold.
