I've thought hard about this post because I don't like arguing with people
but I have to say I am quite taken aback that you think you have the right
to be 'outraged' over the clothing worn by the characters in the Harry
Potter film. If you were Joanne Rowling and the film makers had run rough
shod over your creation perhaps you would have that right but as I
understand it Ms Rowling has been heavily involved in the production of the
film and I have no reason to believe she thinks the representation is wrong.
Harry is a British boy, the books clearly set Hogwarts up as akin to a
British Muggle boarding school. British children wear school uniform.
Perhaps your feelings aren't as strong as the word 'outraged' would suggest.
If so, please accept my apologies in reacting so strongly.
