Re: Detailed Pics of HP Elements

Set 4702 Is it just me or does the evil minifig wearing the purple turban (forgot his name, the guy with two faces) have a 1x1 cylinder for a head! Elliot (25 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

(...) Well actually... I am working on "Paradisa" castle... (...) There's enough earth tones in there that I personally will be happy to get some far out colors. Also, I can buy grey bricks etc, I can't buy bricks in far out colors. (25 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

(...) I think that as castle fodder, yes it does matter. Unless castleheads intend to start following LEGO design themes and we start to see psycadelic, fruit flavored, or candy-coated castles! But I don't really see them trading in their browns, (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: HP Set Color/Design Choices (was: Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released)

(...) Maybe the license was under condition that a certain percentage of it to be changed from the original say 20% or so. Maybe it was cheaper to do it like this too? I am not sure, I do not know... any reason is possible though. Maybe it might (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

HP Set Color/Design Choices (was: Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released)

(...) I tried to point you to the thread where I brought this up before, but here is a link right to the Creator box art as was discussed there: (URL) see the non-detail pictures from 1000steine from the "First True Harry Potter Pics!" threads: (URL) (...) Matthew Gerber wrote in message ... (...) seventies. (...) :-) (...) Well I dunno, I'm looking at this page: (URL) the detail pics of 4704 and 4706, and I see minifigs in shirt/tie/sweater with school badge. I agree the capes look pretty dumb, but I (...)   Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) I'm also not inclined to worry that there's a cardboard backdrop in a set. It's been done before, and I doubt it adds much to the cost of the set. If it makes the set that much more desirable for the targeted market, and therefore more (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) That appears to be part of the page design. I'd say that 50% of th volume of 4721-3 is the cardboard backdrop, but that is only those three sets, and the parts in those make me drool a flood. :D Jeff (25 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

(...) 4721 looks like it has a roof too. What % is that? NICK (25 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) Hardly half. Unless something isn't pictured, 4701, 4702, 4704, 4705, 4706, and 4708 have no large cardboard/plastic/whatever pieces. 4707 has a large piece used to fold up to a conical roof, which makes up maybe 15% of the total volume, if (...)
