Thanks to everyone for your comments.  I am thinking of starting a Railroad
module using a somewhat scaled down version of the GMLTC modules and I think
the Semi's will be included along with a warehouse or other delivery/tranfer
point with the railroad.

I need to build up my train collection first along with my basic brick
collection so it will be a very long term project but that is something I want
to do anyway instead of all quick projects.

See how it is all falling together, Lar?  Eight-wide Utopia Forever!

Boy I didn't think this would develop into an 8 wide discussion.  I do like
Bram's semi and I may try and make working doors on my trucks but I think at 6
wide the doors might look strange.

I am still a 6 wide kind of guy but I could still be converted :)  .

(...) I've built an eight-wide train for my 4.5V tracks, too. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get enough friction with the track when you don't use train wheels for the drive wheels.
