I think the previous supercar looked more like a Lamborghini Diablo.
This one (to me) looks more Ferrari-ish (especially in Ferrari(/LEGO) Red
:) (F355 maybe?) Lamborghini doesn't have any true convertibles...but
then again, neither company has gull-wing doors (although Lamborghini
comes closer with the scissor doors.) I guess LEGO supercar designs are
just a conglamorate of all kinds of cool looking sports cars :)
