  Re: Brick Dice

(...) Yeah, I have blank black dice, but they are harder to ink with white ink for technical reasons, so I just stuck with the other five colors.. (...) (15 years ago, 5-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

Re: Strong smoke smell on parts

(...) I have successfully used anti-bacterial liquid soap for cleaning smoke smelling parts. I soak the parts for a couple days in a soapy solution. One thing I noticed is that the smokey smell comes from an oily deposit, so my feeling is a soap (...) (15 years ago, 4-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

He claims no damage to prints that he has seen. I don't recall what he said about stickers. If it is a big concern you might test with a few items first to see what happens. (15 years ago, 3-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

Re: Strong smoke smell on parts

(...) Will that cause any bleaching though, and is it safe for patterned parts like minifig heads? These parts are almost all new and their color is excellent (except possibly some of the small white slopes), so I'm concerned about keeping them that (...)   Re: Strong smoke smell on parts

One of my LUGmates swears by a product called Oxy-clean. He soaks really stinky elements overnight in a solution of one litre water to one tablespoon Oxy-clean. (15 years ago, 3-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

Re: Strong smoke smell on parts

Hi Lee, Wash the smoke damaged bricks in warm soapy water with a small amount of bleach. Let the bricks soak for a few hours. Rinse and let the bricks air dry on a towel. The bleach smell will fade after a few days and your bricks will no longer (...) (15 years ago, 3-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

  Strong smoke smell on parts

I recently got an order from Bricklink, from a store in Germany, and when it arrived it smelled very strongly of smoke. I've been trying to find solutions to cleaning them that will be satisfactory. Some sites say sealing items in a container with a (...) (15 years ago, 2-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

(...) Green, but no black? It's _almost_ the classic color assortment. (...) There's always the 1x1 brick with studs on four sides! I'm sure there are plenty of other options out there as well, but each one will probably get progressively farther (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Dice (price)

Yes, the dice are for sale. One set (of five dice) is $12. Each additional set lowers the per-set price by $.25... to a minimum of $6 per set if 25+ sets are requested. Shipping (in US) is + $5. I can take Paypal. Email me at my address above if (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Dice

(...) Cool. Though you know, there are 1x5 technic beams, or you could have shown the tubes on the underside of a 2x6 brick/plate (grin). You say they, "come in a set of 5", does that mean they are for sale? Benn (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.general)

  Brick Dice

Hi all, I'm betting there's a fairly large overlap between LEGO-geeks and game-playing-geeks. For that audience I present these "brick dice". Instead of digits 1-6 on the faces, I have building block representations with one to six "studs" showing. (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.general, lugnet.announce)

  Eastwood Ravine

For the upcoming TexLUG display at the Healthy Baby and Child Expo in Houston, and to make use of our club's new MichLUG designed train tables, I decided to build a sunken display module featuring my new Trestle Bridge design.   Brickshelf Hacked?

I was about to upload pics and just noticed that the folder came up empty. What the #@$? Then I tried more of my other folders and same thing happened. I also tried some of the more popular folders and the same empty folder shows. Looks like only (...) (15 years ago, 24-Jan-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Selling Lego collection

(...) John, You and your family are in our thoughts in this trying time. Try and slow down, catch your breath, and let everything work itself out.
