It's not exactly clear to me what you are trying to do, but you should
check out Ralph Hempel's web site. He has posted several Lego designs,
including a compressor that features an auto shut-off valve to stop the
compressor motor when the holding tank reaches a sufficient pressure level.
The cool thing about his compressor design is that it doesn't require an RCX
or anything -- just a motor, a switch, and a battery box in addition to the
pneumatics.
If you follow the link below, you will see one of his designs which might
be helpful to you. This picture uses some sort of a grey rotary switch (he
calls it the "Technics Polarity Switch", but I have no idea which set(s)
might contain this item) that might be what you're looking for.

| I purchased three technic sets overseas and can find no reference as to their current worth. I have checked eBay to see if any were listed currently or in the near past, but to no avail.
