I can't speak for everybody on this side of the border, but I'd expect most
US'ers know that our dollar is worth more than your dollar.
Then again, I had one person on the phone who thought New Mexico was a
different country.
What's funny is that around here (Michigan), Canadian coins are no big
deal, and are generally taken at face value. A quarter is a quarter is
25c, as long as you aren't trying to pass off a bunch of them. But try
doing that in other states, and people react like you're trying to pass a
Peso!

| This is off topic, so I'll keep it short. Victoria is a tourist town on Vancouver Island with (usually) mild weather, early colourful springs and nice summers. We are a ferry ride from Seattle, so we get a lot of Americans here who call our money (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

| Hey! Got a Recycle Truck today in a bunch of used LEGO. Guess which 2 red parts were missing.... Can't complain--there are a couple-o-thousand pieces (40 minifigs, maybe 15 sets, about 10 instruction booklets, lots of early 90s Octan sets, 8 32x32 (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)
