Re: [involves Tim Gould again] Re: Ease up on marking folders Avatar

(...) Um, how exactly is (URL) directly feedback on what you asked? You asked "P.S.S Could not post to: lugnet.announce.brickshelf", to which Jeff replied "The lugnet.announce.brickshelf group is postable to only by Kevin (and perhaps a few other (...) (...) Actually, scrub that, I'm wrong. The answer was in the Zerostuds forum but I can't check it now. Tim (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Ease up on marking folders Avatar

(...) The avatar tag gets applied to folders that don't have a Lego image as their first one (alphabetically) IIRC from something Kevin posted on the Zerostuds forum, which appears to have disappeared. Tim (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Resale shops / whose been geting your brick buck this year?

most of my purchases have come from new sets and pretty much all of the rest have been at a local second hand toy shop that I go to (they do LEGO by the part and by the set and I am one of their best customers) Right now though I have pretty much (...)   Re: Resale shops / whose been geting your brick buck this year?

(...) Maybe it's a socio/geographic thing. I live in Chicago so there are dozens of resale shops, and enough affluence that alot of folks just prefer to drop it off for that warm-fuzzy-feeling and tax write off rather than bother with Ebay. I do (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: [please make a positive on topic contribution] Ease up on marking folders Avatar

(...) Ok, let's try this again. This is what I should have said in the first place and called your sublte nit pick for what it is. Its NOT ON TOPIC. Jeff, is that the best you can do? Is that the most positive and enlightend contribution you can (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general)

Re: Resale shops / whose been geting your brick buck this year?

(...) Wow and congrats! Your experience has certainly been different than mine. My wife and I used to hit the thrift stores every week. We stopped going two years ago for two reasons: 1) We realized our house was full of junk that we didn't need. 2) (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Miss the part where I said for the love of the brick let's discuss not argue? Then read this, I'll help you like I helped Rob. We should all help one another. Yep. "Take a moment to consider this. I pose a question and cite some examples looking for (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)

(...) -Snip- (...) What I would like you to know is that Jeff and I have a history, things you don't know about. If I am sick of Jeff chiming in with *his* Chip, I'll tell him. Actions and attitudes you are not aware of. YOU, should be man enough to (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)

Re: Resale shops / whose been geting your brick buck this year?

(...) This would be a guess: 45% pick-a-brick/S@H Bulk/factory 50% Bricklink 5% New sets (usually small sets, ie: Racers, when I am at Target for other non lego items) I very rarely buy used bricks. I can't remember the last time. Maybe 3-4 years (...) (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)
