That is new track. So I am a bit confused on that. Why have 9V motors but
not track? My wild guess is that they will be available in boxes only.

The 9v motor looks non-powered to me. These may be Hobby Train parts only were
seeing, with the overlapping coupling levers and magnets available to 9v and
Hobby Train parts, or so it seems...

And the wheels on the motor have axle holes, so it's definitely an battery-powered, IR-controlled motor. There's no battery box or handheld (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)
