I'm not Gary, but I do have a lot of those bricks. They were produced by
Samsonsite in the US (and possibly Canada) in the early 1960s thru the 70s.
They produced several sets in the line

The bricks come in 4 colors (red, white, blue, yellow). There was also a truck
in white or grey with red wheels.
They are NOT Duplo, and are not interchangable with any other Lego brick. They
measure 1" x 2" x 4". They are also made of a slightly different plastic.

| (...) Thanks Clark! Russell, those bricks were sold in USA Samsonite sets from 1964-72. Here is a cut/paste from my upcoming Lego Set/Part History CD (the chapter on Duplo/Pre-School). This table lists all the sets that were produced with Jumbo (...) (19 years ago, 17-Nov-05, to lugnet.general)
