   (...) Thanks Clark! Russell, those bricks were sold in USA Samsonite sets from 1964-72. Here is a cut/paste from my upcoming Lego Set/Part History CD (the chapter on Duplo/Pre-School).    (...) Gary, There is a slight chance that these jumbo bricks made it into the Europe market for a short time. There is also a chance these are just prototypes and were never sold.      (...) OK, to add to the confusion is the fact that NO catalogs show the #501, #502 or #503 sets. Jan K.'s Billund Vault pictures (which I hadn't seen) sorta takes some of that mystery away.
