  Best "practical" use of LEGO?

What uses have you put LEGO to that are for practical reasons? Let me give some examples to illustrate: 1. Eric McCarthy's napkin holder made of LEGO 2. I use 2x4 bricks as leveling shims for furniture in areas where the floor is not entirely flat (...) (19 years ago, 3-Oct-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Did they ever make shutters for these?

(...) Almost forgot.... The blue 1x6x5 window was the only other color that these 1x6x5 windows came in. Blue was found in #6375 Exxon Service Station (a USA Only set), and classic space sets #6970 (Beta-1 Command) and #6971 (Intergalactic Command (...) (19 years ago, 2-Oct-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Did they ever make shutters for these?

(URL) It took a bit of browsing, but Peeron shows this part having been used in the Maersk Line series and a few other sets. I'm not exactly sure if this went on the clips or not, but it looks pretty likely - would love to find an instruction scan (...) (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.general)

Did they ever make shutters for these?

(URL) part has always had clips for shutters but I've never seen them. Did they exist? Can something else fit there? Just curious. Dave S. (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ideas and Suggestions for LEGO S@H

Just saw this. (URL) like there's a little discretionary cash floating around. I had no idea that TLG supports motor sports. What a wonderful discovery, for me at least, to find my two favorite things, Lego and motor sports are connected :) JB (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO toy drive for disaster relief

This is my final post about toy drive until it is complete (and at which time I'll post pics of the final 'pile' and the delivery).
