Re: Show 10 Concludes our Interview with Joe Meno...

Patrick, Thanks so much for the feedback. I am sooo sorry I haven't responded sooner. I'm not use to finding messages hear about the show. Generally they come via e-mail or are posted on the BimPBoards. Guess if I am going to announce on LUGNET, I'm (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Factory sets released

(...) John- TLC makes 1000s of elements in 100+ (hopefully to be cut in half) colors. That's a lot of theoretical permutations. In any one year, they hardly manufacture a few percent of the possibilities. If they don't make it, we can't buy it (and (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I think actually I told you at NTS and you forgot I told you, but ya, Gaylord building is it. Now, for bonus points, what's the gold brick tie in? ... And YES I think this is a reusable building when I lose, er I mean, if I lose. (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am building a minifig-scale model/interpretation of the Farnsworth House in Plano, IL. It will end up slightly off scale due to choice of pieces, but I think it's looking good so far. -nk (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Sorry to reply to myself. Just to come all out, I plan to have 3 buildings done, all of which I can potentially use in future trainshow with our club. Each time we do a show I hear we need more 1-2 baseplate buildings. This contest was just (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Trainhead! This industrial building would fit nicely in the neighborhood of a trainyard. The other illinois choices are not your "thing". a "not denying it" from you is as good as a confirmation :) Paul (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Shoot, that is my second project choise. I've already ordered all the brick. As with you, I may not have enough time to do it. Mine would be minifig scale, and yours? Paul (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie house either, but I am also building something in Illinois. I hope we're not building the same thing. I don't expect to use too many of the gold bricks, though.   Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie House. I had thought about a FLW based entry since I'm a big fan (I think I put my Taliesin West pics up on Maj, I forget) but decided to build something else that I could more easily tie into the gold bricks...   Build the Trust

I am building the Robie House.. is anybody else? It would be weird to have multiple renditions of the same thing when there are so many other good ideas on or off the site list.   New poll: How are you involved?

Hey all, In the discussion on the future face of LUGNET, Suz said she wanted to see this as an "organized association of LUGs". This raised the question, to me, of how members of the AFOL community see their involvement. As such, I've written a (...)   Re: Gold in them thar hills!

(...) It is interesting to note the irony here.... Brickfest, TLG and The National Trust are celebrating the 50 years of THE TOWN PLAN (Lego System of Play).   Re: Lego Factory sets released

(...) It depends on how the models are priced. If it's a flat X cents per piece, it will probably be overpriced for everyday pieces, but cheap for odd pieces.
