  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I'm building (URL) Hall> (Charleston, South Carolina), but I worry about finishing in time. (...) I wondered about this too. Like, what'll be represented.. -Suz (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Me either. I was thinking I'd use about 3-5 bricks total, if that, but DID have a scheme for why they would plausibly appear in the model, somewhere. (...) I'm not saying, but it's not P. Hope that helps. (it's really not too hard to guess but (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie house either, but I am also building something in Illinois. I hope we're not building the same thing. I don't expect to use too many of the gold bricks, though. What's the first letter of the town/village you're (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie House. I had thought about a FLW based entry since I'm a big fan (I think I put my Taliesin West pics up on Maj, I forget) but decided to build something else that I could more easily tie into the gold bricks... I'm (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Build the Trust

I am building the Robie House.. is anybody else? It would be weird to have multiple renditions of the same thing when there are so many other good ideas on or off the site list. I visited the Robie House twice last winter so I got kind of excited (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Factory sets released

"Bryan Kinkel" <helpdesk@loseyourmind.com> wrote in message news:IJvr1J.1266@lugnet.com... [ ... snipped ... ] (...) instructions (...) I personally think is a huge mistake and unless these sets get cheaper, will probably prevent me from buying (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

New poll: How are you involved?

Hey all, In the discussion on the future face of LUGNET, Suz said she wanted to see this as an "organized association of LUGs". This raised the question, to me, of how members of the AFOL community see their involvement. As such, I've written a (...)   Re: Gold in them thar hills!

(...) It is interesting to note the irony here.... Brickfest, TLG and The National Trust are celebrating the 50 years of THE TOWN PLAN (Lego System of Play). And the building contest is for building in the Miniland, Minifig, and Micro Scales. But (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory sets released

(...) It depends on how the models are priced. If it's a flat X cents per piece, it will probably be overpriced for everyday pieces, but cheap for odd pieces. I'm guessing we're going to see a pretty restrictive palette on these things, though - (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory sets released

(...) I'm practically *drooling* at the thought of this... One question, tho - does anyone have any idea how this might affect Bricklink sellers? If I can create my own custom model and have Lego send me the parts, that makes me less likely to look (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  Lego Factory sets released

According to a posting on Jake's blog, the Lego Factory sets are available. (URL) check out (URL) the bottom it reads - Experience LEGO Factory Today! Use the LEGO Factory website and Digital Designer to create your own incredible models! Then, (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LUGNet shut off

(...) Hi Robert: With due respect, did you happen to read what Suz herself wrote (URL) here?> Here's the central point, IMO: No piece of a blog entry should be pulled out, given a title and posted at LUGNET with an implication that an announcement (...)   Re: LUGNet shut off

(...) Regarding how October 1st was chosen, Suzanne says in her (URL) blog>: "... I need to set a deadline. A shutdown clock will initiate shortly. It's very real and all-encompassing.   Re: LUGNet shut off

I'd hate to see Lugnet go myself, though I'd be lying if I said that I don't somewhat miss the good ol' days of rec.toys.lego. -Josh (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: How should Lego items be dated?

(...) Gary, My 0.02 cents Like cars in the US the model year starts in Sept. Oct. of the previous year So I think that is appropriate for Lego sets. Base the year on the catalog year.
