For those of you that collect Maersk Lego models, there is one model that was never sold as a set, but only as a model in the early 1960's Lego Building Idea Book #1, also known as #238. Here is the model on a page from #238. There are other ships (...) (19 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Are those blue plates on the bottom? That bouy is interesting. With the newer 1x1 round, it would not need to be studs down, but with the original 1x1 round, it had to be studs down because you wouldn't be able to center the old 1x1 round (...) (19 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) No those are bricks (otherwise it would beg the question "when did they make macaroni plates?"). The white plates in the model would all be waffle bottom. Plates in other colors (besides white and a few rare red ones from the 50's) first came (...) (19 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)
