I was wondering, does anybody have any stories about bringing up Lego during a job interview or school admissions interview? Maybe it was not such a good idea to do it... (20 years ago, 22-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Depends. I have it on my resume, and it was brought up in the interview. As I got the job (Large Audit/Accounting firm), it does not appear to of hurt my chances. (...) Actually, yeah... I'd just won a LEGO-sponsored contest about web design, and mentioned it to the company owner during an interview. Yes, he hired me. In fact, he frequently tells people his web guy is an "International award-winning web (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) I mentioned it to a couple interviewers, and I'm not sure how well that fact went over, but in general, I think it was beneficial. Helps kinda make you memorable and whatnot. (...)
