First off, how come there is no lugnet.mod?? :) I bet Rob would just love it.
Anyway...my question of the day is: has anyone ever used something like
Plasti-Dip to coat their parts for better grip (like wheel rims or grabbers)?
Specifically, does it come off afterward, does it grip the part well (since
the parts are so smooth, I wonder if its an issue) and does it increase the
friction like a big hunk of rubber ought to? :)

I use Plasti-Dip on the feet of my (non-Lego) robots[1] at school. It
improves grip on hard surfaces (linoleum) somewhat, but eventually wears down
and needs to be replaced. It also tends to collect the dust on the floor a bit,
reducing traction. However, it comes completely off of the feet with enough
rubbing...so it *should* be removable from your Lego parts too, if you decide
you dont like it. Letting the container of dip sit around for a few months
lets it dry out some, but you can add some thinner (with lovely poisonous fumes)
to use it again. --Bram
1) Mini-Whegs None of
the ones on the site actually use the dip though...
