I love LEGO but I have a problem that's hampering my creativity. I have a large general collection made up of several lots that, over the years, I won on eBay. In addition to this, I own just about every Star Wars set and a good number of recent (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) The simplest solution is to buy duplicate sets. The cheapest is to suck it up and part them out. Somewhere in between is parting out sets that you're no longer very interested in and buying other parts on Bricklink. (21 years ago, 24-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

I can understand your confusion, I've gone through it myself in the past, and still do somewhat now. All my old sets that I got when I was younger are still in their original boxes, they've never been (as I call it...) 'assimilated into the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) I know what you mean... Right now I have 2 collections (well 2.5 actually) One is my sets, which are taken apart to conserve space and sorted into about 50 boxes. Then the other are bricks I buy on Bricklink/eBay and other occaisions. Those I (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)
