(...) 6991 is a tiny box! I reckon that 6990 and 6399 Monorails were bigger - when I got mine in the post (6991) I thought how small it looked. Can you verify this? I have train 7740 - that's big. (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Well, I pulled them both out of the closet and measured more carefully: 8485: 16 1/2" x 23" x 3 5/8" 6991: 18 1/2" x 25 1/2" x 4 1/2" The 6991 wins, but is still smaller than the 3290. John C. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)
