  Re: Interesting question...

(...) Hello Jonathan, If I may be so bold as to attempt to answer some of your questions... (...) Technically, the custom parts are not Lego so far as they are not made by The Lego Group A purist uses 100% Lego in their MOC's...with no exceptions (...) (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

  Interesting question...

Now that we are seing more "custom" parts being made (for example the Starwars weapons, the Castle accessories and the Train wheels), it raises an important question... are these "Lego"? For example, if I use them, am I no-longer a purist? Does (...) (22 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.cad)

  Re: THANK YOU!!!...!!!

(...) Me too... I'm not 100% sure what happened, but basically the auto-restart script that monitors the NNTP server failed to restart it correctly after it fell down for some reason. I killed a hung process this morning and it restarted fine. Very (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: New C-C Article: Minifig Torso Designs and Stickers

(...) Hi Anthony, I really like your article. The traditional torsos in other colors are great. I cant wait to make orange knights, red peasants, and serfs. Lots of serfs! Ben (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: THANK YOU!!!...!!!

(...) What happened? I admit it was rather shocking to open up my email this morning and only get four emails, instead of the usual 50 Monday fare. I noticed that I couldn't reply to LUGNET stuff either. ~Mike (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: New C-C Article: Minifig Torso Designs and Stickers

(...) More great stuff to work with! I wanted to mention adhering the stickers. I suppose sticker paper works, but after the seeing the huge jump in quality with photo paper (not to mention nice stiff sturdy paper), that's the only way I'm going to (...)   Re: Harry Parter

(...) What I found after playing with the shield designs over the weekend is that with glossy photo paper (Canon Photo Paper Pro with a Canon S900 six-color printer) the level of detail will hold. Lesser paper blurs, loses saturation and vibrancy, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: Harry Parter

(...) I too was infected Saturdae morning and decided to take a swat at putting together a signature shield. Now to buy about 50 shields, to outfit the newly recruited: Irish Blades! My first pass at making a completely new Black Falcon shield: (URL) a .psd file there, too, though I don't know if that's acceptable for Brickshelf since it doesn't display unless you open it. I've made multiple color copies of it, and I've found (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: The Musketeer

(...) Hmmmm, now I have to modify these things. Layers - ah yes, there's the help file on that (I couldn't draw at all on the Black Falcon Torso Shield since the background was the active layer). Been a while since I actually used Photoshop for (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Harry Parter

(...) Thanks much! I'm glad you like what I've done, and it's particularly flattering to be complimented by someone who knows what I'm going through to do these. It takes me on average between one and two hours per design. Fortunately, some designs (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Harry Parter

(...) Hey Don, I'm glad you like my work so far. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgable in printing and those two programs you have, but with what strikingly little knowledge I have, I'll try and help you out. (...)
