Hey all,

After sorting my ISD into my collection, I started my most ambitous (or
foolish, depending on the outcome!) project yet; making a Gunstar from "The
Last Starfighter" (excellent pics of the ship here:
http://www.meshweaver.com/portfolio/htms/gstar.htm).  I even had the
chutzpah to think I could add motorized Death Blossom doors.  I don't know
if it'll be possible, but I'm gonna give it a try.  So far, it's been
extremely challenging and frustrating, yet supremely satisfying a solution
is found!

How many of you have noticed that your sense of the passage of time is
greatly distorted when you become involved with a new project?  For
instance, last Sunday night around 11:30 pm, I wanted to spend "just a few
minutes" messing with the cockpit before going to bed.  When I next looked
up it was 2:30 AM!  I have to be at work at nine, and on Mondays I do a
double shift!  *insert Homer Simpson "D'OH!" sound*

Does this happen to you?

All the time!  My wife jokes with me frequently about my definition of the
word "soon".  She'll head off to bed, and I'll say "I'll join you soon,
honey", and not actually show up for another 2 to 3 hours.  This frequently
happens with Video Games, where I'll think "just one more
quest/level/job/etc" and end up playing half the night.  Oops!
