the parts db's and websites are darn
useful, and bricklink is great for buying

but i have two questions:

1) is there any way to find what parts have been
made in a particular color (all green pieces, ex.)

2) is there any way to find what colors a particular
piece comes in (ex, 1x2 slope ... what colors?)

bricklink lets you choose any colors w/ any pieces
and it doesn't eliminate invalid selections,
which would be nice.

peeron has the data, but there is no way to search
it for these criteria (that i've been able to find)

plz help
plz email panarchy23@yahoo.com

thx much

Peeron will do this.  It has a color table for each element (which may be
surpressed if it is too big but there is a link to see it if this is the
case) which shows you which year and in what colors an element was
available.  By clicking on the color table you can see which sets contained
a particular element.  I was using this very feature today - it is extremely
useful.

Now if you don't know what it is you are looking for by the proper name you
might want to start with PartsRef (http://guide.lugnet.com/partsref/) first
so you can visually see the parts (wouldn't a link from PartsRef to Peeron
be great?).  You can browse the Peeron parts list as well - most of the
parts have an image reference (click on the "ref" link).

Hope this helps.

Mike
