In my opinion, it is definitely a safety issue. The sudden release of the
springloaded hip mechanism could send a hairpiece straight into the throat
or the eye of a bystanding (for instance North American) kid and
consequently send The LEGO Company spiraling down into a lawsuit. They would
be wise to print the following a warning on the set boxes:
"Do not apply hairpieces and/or any other headgear from your own collection
and/or from set 10067 to the NBA Basketball minifigs" :-)
