On the cranes in 4565 (Freight & Crane Railway), there is what
at first looks like 2 1x1 technic beams holding the lower axle attached
to the 3-length half-beams; however, it appears from the catalog
picture that the top of this part is rounded.
Is this an unususal round-topped technic beam, or another
technic-axle-compatible part mostly obscured by the outer crane arms?

| (...) Unless I'm misunderstanding you, the part you're interested in is a 1x2 triple-slope convex gable-end. The axle and 3L half-beams are free to swing around; the axle can be braced against the slope brick. (URL) Steve (26 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.general)
