LEGOLAND(R) California Enters New Dimensions With a 4-D Movie &
Out-Of-This-World Special Events

CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Kids at LEGOLAND will have an
out-of-this-world experience with fun special events and activities
revolving around the new FOX KIDS Saturday morning TV show, Galidor(TM):
Defenders of the Outer Dimension and the new short film, LEGO Racers 4D.
The fun starts Memorial Day weekend when the popular LEGO Racers toy line
speeds into LEGO Showplace Theater in the new short film, LEGO Racers 4D and
continues when kids meet the Galidor characters Nicholas and his trusted
companion Euripides, a frog-like ally who joins forces with Nicholas in
restoring the Outer Dimension

In LEGO Racers 4D, the animated actors, and the audience, will dodge smoke,
wind, snow, water, strobing lights and other special effects as the race
roars to life on the big screen, bringing new dimensions of action and fun.
Later the Galidor show's plot unfolds, Nicholas Bluetooth, a seemingly
normal teenager, finds his ordinary existence turned upside down when he
discovers a mysterious map.  Following the map's instructions, Nicholas is
led to a transport that whisks him away to the Outer Dimension.  While on
his journey, Nicholas discovers his own hidden powers - powers he'll need in
his newfound mission to save the Outer Dimension from tyranny and evil.  In
addition, the complete LEGO Galidor toy line will be available in the Park
this June.

"We're proud that LEGOLAND has carved out a special niche in the competitive
world of family entertainment," said LEGOLAND President Bill Haviluk.  "The
Park remains a very visible, very successful embodiment of the LEGO Company
ideal -- putting children first while providing fun, creative learning and
embracing discovery.  The shows and events we're adding this year continue
to challenge, encourage and entertain youngsters, and inspire them to keep
imagining."

Since LEGOLAND opened in March 1999, 4.2 million kids of all ages have raced
into the theme park to discover a world where learning is fun, creativity is
nurtured and youngsters are the ones who make everything happen. Three
roller coasters offer a wide range of thrills for different age groups,
while most of the other rides and attractions require kids to drive, push,
pull, pedal, steer, fly, pump, stomp, jump, build, explore, climb and, of
course, laugh.  More than 5,000 models made from LEGO bricks, many of them
animated, inspire and challenge young builders to create something new in
the construction areas around the Park.  There are even workshops where kids
can build and program robots.

Other events taking place this year include:

--  LEGO Master Model Builders -- The pros will offer building tips and
answer questions during regular sessions in the LEGO Clubhouse in the  Fun
Town section of the Park.

--  Also back this summer, is the popular July Fourth firework
spectacular.  After the sunsets, all eyes will be gazing up to watch
brilliant colors paint the skies as patriotic music swells through the
Park.

--  As summer fades into fall, spirited fun returns in late-October with
Brick-or-Treat.  The Halloween tradition delivers gentle thrills and
chills to young guests as friendly monsters, witches and ghosts mingle
with visitors.

--  Closing out the year is the popular new family tradition, The Holiday
Block Party.  A towering Douglas Fir tree sporting LEGO themed
decorations and thousands of twinkling lights greets visitors.
Special holiday-themed entertainment and children's activities will
take place during this festive time of year.

The theme park is open daily Memorial Day to Labor Day and during specific
holidays in the spring and winter.  The remainder of the year the park
operates five days a week, closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  An operating
calendar is available online at www.legoland.com or call 760-918-LEGO.
General admission for kids 3-16 and seniors 60+, $33.95; Adults $39.95.
Located at the Cannon Road exit off I-5 in Carlsbad just 30 minutes north of
San Diego and one hour south of Anaheim.
