This might kind of belong on off-topic. at least parts of it :)
This week I'm doing some of that lovely spring cleaning everyone seems
to get into when the weather gets nice :)
I've been going through our attic, it's probably been 25 years since
it's really been cleaned out.
I got to one box of my stuff from when I was a teenager, it was a bunch
of magazines and books I figured I'd just toss them all, though decided
to just look through it for the hell of it. I found between all the
mags I bunch of old comic books.. from the 81 82 era.. Curious last
night I searched the web a little to see what they might be worth, one
is a first issue of Dennis the Menace.. and I happened to thumb through
it a bit.. turned it over.. look at the back page.. and there's a cool
Lego Ad on the back! Talks about expert builder technic sets has big
picture of 8860 and then shows 12 boxes on the bottom which you can't
make the numbers out on :( though there's a line there I got a big laugh
on.. it says "Definitely not kid's stuff". I'm going to try to get the
scanner set back up on one of the systems here if I can find room and
scan it, if anyone wants to get a look at it I'll post the url when I
do!
Build big! (well lately it seems to be build small :) )
