I have discovered a very clever way of removing the printing from small
Lego elements - forget brake fluid, various astringents, etc. and try
this:

simply put the element in your pocket every day for several months! :)

I find having a cat is easier and less lumpy... if you build something with
all your decorated bricks, place it in front of a gas fire and have a cat,
the cat will, whilst lying in front of the fire, rub itself across the
bricks if you place them right - particularly if they decide that your Lego
is their Lego and attempt to rub their chin scent across the bricks.

Cat saliva+cat scent+cat fur=bare bricks. (Doubly so if you trap catnip
inside the model, although you'll be washing the dribble out for weeks!)

By the way - this may only work on one brick and with my dribble-puss!
