I remember those ads! They were very widespread on comics, for several
months. Well, ok, all the comics I bought then were from the same
publisher, had the same ad layouts, and I bought a lot. So if I saw one
ad, I'd see a ton.
There may have been other Technic/Expert Builder ads--I can't remember for
sure.

| This might kind of belong on off-topic. at least parts of it :) This week I'm doing some of that lovely spring cleaning everyone seems to get into when the weather gets nice :) I've been going through our attic, it's probably been 25 years since (...) (25 years ago, 1-Apr-99, to lugnet.general)
