My husband called me Tuesday and reminded me his friend as well as his friends
wife are flight attendants with United and they fly out of the East Coast. My
husband comes home from work but doesn't want to call his friend.
Today we get a call from another friend. He tells us our flight attendant
friend was asked to work Tuesday morning and given his choice of the 8:00
flight (the one that crashed)or the 9:00 flight.
I'm happy to say, he chose the 9:00 flight. He *almost* chose the 8:00 flight
since it was longer (paid more), but the 9:00 flight was due to stop in Chicago
which would give him a chance to visit his parents.
Incredible.
(His wife was not working Tuesday morning.)
CNN has an account of what happened on Flight 93:
