Here is a direct quote from a footnote in Chapter 1 of my book:
"The building elements in RIS 1.0 differ slightly from the elements in 1.5 and
2.0. RIS 1.5 and 2.0 are identical kits. As a note to educators, the building
elements in the Robotics Invention System 1.0 are identical to those in the
