Just curious - and how do you know?

Surprising as it may seem I actually frequently talk with many Lego
regs through e-mail, even Todd.

Really? Then would it be safe to assume that you and Todd are "ok" with each
other? And if this is so, then why did he ban you?

<snip>
I do not think its that deep, I was more curious if *you* personally thought
you were going about it in the correct way. I take it you do, because you
see it as a good way to get results (and it did in one case). And you also
have no regrets about anything - its not like you care about 99.5% of the
people on this site, they are nothing more than "e-identies" to you - just
words on a screen. Not actuall people who can do anything for/to you.

Like I said, to me there is no correct way.  I considered a variety of
possible actions and chose one that I knew would work, with the most
amount of "damage" being done to me as it doesn't phase me in the
least bit.  I do care about the people posting to this server which is
why I'm bothering to do what I'm doing.  Otherwise it'd be pretty
pointless.

True, but has it worked? What was your driving force to post here that has
changed? The dates on the memorials? I am kinda missing what your gaol was....

I think we all see some bad things about the Lego community, but we are
still a part of it - its what comes with the territory. I am sure everybody
here can say one thing they wish Lego did, or wish Lego did not do (example
- Todd and his Junioration (sp) rants). So I do not hink there is anything
wrong with that, just why would you have to pay a price for wanting to
change them? I have seen Todd do some things that I think were wrong and
unjust - but oh well - what can I do? Rant and rave? What would that
accomplish? It would get me banned....

So then your attitude is to just be happy with what you have rather
than strive to make what you have better?  I'm more of an activist,
someone who believes that in order to make advancements you sometimes
need radical action.

Not at all, I do put up good fights when I see something worth fighting for.
To me Lego is not really one of them. And as far as Todd goes - I have seen
him be a stubborn sob and refuse to see other viewpoints. I have seen him
allow his friends to jump on others and ignore it, but he will jump on you
if you do what he lets his friends do. So what is the point of working with
him? I will not change him, and would rather not waste my time trying to do
it, when others have failed. I like this site, what he has done, just think
he is a little too hard-headed sometimes.

<snip>

I think this is very true, with the exception of "I have no concept of what
is "correct" or "right" or "wrong" or "good" or "bad"." I think we all have
this, its if we pay attention to it or not.

I know what various other people see as "good" and "bad", and for the
most part, I've never known any identical instance of views.

But yet, I am not looking for 'various others' views. And if you ever do get
an identical set of views, that would be a rare find.

You seen to have turned that
switch to "off" . I can not see you not seeing anything you do as wrong, I
can name a few things that are blatently wrong, but would you do those type
of things just to see what happened?

Not if it would hinder my ability to experience new things.  So if you
ask why don't I go on a killing spree, well if I did that I would go
to jail and would never get to experience a great many things.  If RL
was like Star Trek and we had holodecks I would probably play out
thousands of different scenarios, some of which a person like you
might find absolutely horrifying.

lol, how would you know? There are a great number of things out there..

I was kinda scratching my head about that site you linked to
also, but if you take into consideration what he did, usung his tools to
remember him was apporiate. I do not think anybody was trying to make him a
'Lego demigod' or anything, just using his program to pay tribute to him,
very fitting after I thought about it.

We all have our different perspective on the way things are, all this
should, if nothing else, be a reminder of that fact.

And I think you did a very good job of bringing that up.

Well at least I did a good job of something.  All in all though I
don't think anything too terrible has happened.  I posted a link to my
site, got some good critiques, had a little discussion over James and
so forth which led to some good change, things are pretty good.  The
only bad thing is that I'm having to post using someone elses nyme,
which I would really rather not, but Todd has given me little choice
in the matter.

About the name thing, why dont you just do a setup for a new login name? If
you are banned how are you getting around that? I am not clear on how
spoofing another name works. Did you get banned again tonight? I am missing
this also.
