They do :-) These Esso Bricks belong to the Lego Lorry's that you will find on Page 13(Top end) of the Dk Ultimate Lego Book. There were made around the 1950/1960 area in Europe. These appear on Gary Istok's "10 Rare Items" list (URL) don't think they are the ones in the truck (although they represent the same thing). The proportions of the can in the truck are wrong & it doesn't show the top stud. Clark (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.general)

(...) Good Answer Clark!!! These 1x1 round bricks with Esso labels are NOT the same as those shown in the Ultimate Lego Book. The ULB picture shows a 1:43 scale truck, one of many that Lego sold in the 1950's, but they were larger than the 1:87 cars (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.general)
