This is easily fixed, go to the newsgroup configuration page:
http://news.lugnet.com/news/post/setup/
Re-enter your information, and remember to click the 'keep information in a
cookie' checkbox.

(I use IE5.5) I have been a Lugnet member for a few months now (posting primarily on the lugnet.technic newsgroup) (...) (24 years ago, 11-May-01, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)
