Hi Paul,
I've been nailed with this a few times. Besides trying to go after the
seller, I have some suggestions for the high-value parts.
You can get the scratches out by using a product called Flitz (get it at
your hardware store). It takes a good deal of work (like Brasso'ing), but
it is worth it, especially for large, high value parts (like windows,
panels, etc). It works particularly well with transparent parts.

| howd all, first i'd like to say that i'm not trying to piss anyone off w/ this: however, i've purchased a few lego sets online (used) and they are costly and so far have been in much worse condition than they were advertised. i'm not talking a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)
