If you open your CD drive, you will notice an inset circle in the tray. This
fits mini-cds.
Way back, in the late 80's to early 90's, record companies tried to use the
smaller format for CD Singles. The singles came in cardboard packaging that
was just like a miniature record album. The cardboard sleeve opened like a
book with credits and liner notes printed inside. I have two of them, a
Squeeze single and a Simple Minds single.
However, the format flopped.
