I haven't bought any MT sets, even when I've seen great deals (like 5591 for
$80ish at Zany Brainy). I like the idea of MT, but would like to see more
integration with Technic to build sets which are both interesting
mechanically and as models.
For instance, I did buy a MT helicopter for my little brother for xmas. We
built it (he built, I found pieces for him), and he liked it a lot (he is
7). I think its a neat looking set, but it have been more interesting for
me as an adult if there was a linkage between the main rotor and rear rotor,
and it be cooler even yet if the rotor were controllable. The problem with
this stuff is that it requires building models on an even larger scale,
since you couldn't really fit that Technic stuff into the MT helicopter.
